D. Fr. Gil Dulay Installed as New Mission Rector of Balbalan in Kalinga

photo On August 15, 2001, on the occasion of their patronal fiesta, the people of Salegseg in Balbalan, Kalinga  witnessed the installation of their new Mission Rector, Fr. Gil Rochar Dulay, SVD by Bishop Prudencio Andaya, Jr., the apostolic Vicar of the Vicariate of Tabuk. Present in the occasion is the Provincial Superior, Fr. Jerome Adriatico, SVD and some confreres.
After the Eucharistic celebration, a cultural program was organized by the community made festive by the native songs and dances which the people used to express their support for their mission rector and their church.
Fr. Jerome Adriatico, SVD, the Provincial Superior thanked the people for their acceptance and support of their new mission rector. He said he is happy that the people appreciate the efforts of Fr. Dulay who, in the short time he has been assigned in Salegseg has visited all the communities twice despite the great distance and the difficulty of reaching some of these places. He also praised them for their cooperation with the rector and their openness to working with him for their various activities.
Fr. Adriatico informed the community that their request for another confrere to work with Fr. Dulay could not be granted due to lack of personnel. He encourage the people to send their young men to the seminary to become missionaries so there would be more to serve the Lord.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Balbalan,  Honorable Kenneth Dale C. Mangaoang pledged his support for the programs of their local church and encouraged his townmates to do the same.
